  • In November of 2019, Georgie organized GW’s annual month long Native American Heritage Celebration. Through her role as President of SINAR, Georgie  brought Native American and Indigenous figures to campus, held events, and collaborated with other student organizations to bring awareness to Native American and Indigenous issues so that students could celebrate their heritage.

  • Georgie facilitates the distribution and accumulation of funds for her organization.

  • Through her leadership position, Georgie has established relationships and partnerships with other multicultural student orgs on campus to facilitate solidarity and recognition of intersectionality of communities on campus.

  • As Senior Policy Advisor, Georgie created the Administrators Bias Reporting Survey in response to LeBlanc’s racially insensitive and inappropriate commentary in early February of 2020.

  • Georgie advises and supports President SJ Matthews on SA policy decisions to better support the student body and improve the student experience.

  • She efficiently and effectively communicates with administration and the student body to create events to best uphold community on campus.

  • Georgie has created and upheld community on the Mount Vernon Campus, establishing relationships with her residents, assisting their needs and resolving conflicts on a weekly basis.

  • Georgie consistently advocates for her residents’ needs and desires as Vern Residents to ensure their priorities are not forgotten as students at GW.

  • Georgie has advocated for the removal of the Colonial Moniker as an Indigenous Womxn and leader in the Anything But Colonial Coalition.

  • She has been a featured panelist to speak on the impact of colonialism in higher education along with other GW community leaders

  • In the past year and a half, Georgie has spoken with countless administrators and student leaders to increase education about the symbol of the Colonial and advance the movement of removing the Colonial moniker.
